First, the thesis defines the essence of event marketing and its position in the marketing communications mix. Subsequently, it indicates the main aspects of the luxury sector and characterizes the basic principles of the event marketing activities that are carried out in this area. The thesis describes selected events and than using comparative analysis reveals their obvious and latent intentions, on the basis of which each brand seeks to attract the target audience and convey unique and emotive experiences. The whole thesis points to the fact that the luxury fashion brands, which are mainly based on traditional and historical value, are able to effectively communicate with their customers through the communication tool that is considered as a modern, innovative and progressively growing part of marketing communications.
Myths of the czech music alternative in the 1980s
Jonssonová, Pavla ; Jurková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Horský, Jan (referee) ; Maderová, Blanka (referee)
Dissertation "Myths of the Czech Music Alternative in the 1980s" presents an anthropological view of the phenomenon of a parallel culture in a limiting situation. On the basis of biographical narratives, additional interviews and data gained from other types of sources, "myths" are constructed for seven major figures of the Czech alternative scene. This is an insider's ethnomusicological interpretation, based on Mircea Eliade's and Bronislaw Malinowski's concepts of myth as recurrent and exemplary models of behavior. The described personalities, Jazz Section (Prometheus), Miroslav Wanek ("hero's journey") Karel Babuljak ("search for paradise lost"), Pavel Zajíček (Odysseus), Mikoláš Chadima ("Rebel"), Oldřich Janota (Hermes), and Marka Míková (Psyche), represent some of the main trends in creative processes of the Czech music alternative scene with myth being used as a metaphor. The metaphor is understood here in the terms of Timothy Rice, i.e. as an organization principle of our thinking, as well as an illuminating image.
Using growth models to evaluate field crops management practices and influence on soil processes
Hlavinka, Petr ; Trnka, Miroslav ; Balek, Jan ; Dubrovský, Martin ; Pohanková, Eva ; Wimmerová, Markéta ; Žalud, Zdeněk
The publication describes the application of growth model for evaluation of different farming methods in the cultivation of selected field crops and their influence on selected soil processes and conditions. This publication focuses on complex simulations in the soil-plant-atmosphere-farmer interaction system using the HERMES model. The ability to simulate processes in crop rotation scheme continuously and uninterruptedly (e.g. over a period of more than 100 years) gives the opportunity to assess the long-term trends in soil processes, both due to different approaches to farming and combined with selected location and soil conditions. It is possible also for selected scenarios of climate change in future. This material presents both the outputs for weather conditions without any considered climate change and conditions reflecting the shift in climatic conditions during the 21st century based on 6 selected climatic scenarios. The expected impacts on the growth and yields of the target field crops are also quantified for the selected combination of conditions.

Of course, that together with the effort of the alchemists of actinide transmutation of metals, and search for the stone is associated and the destinies of famous players of this science and it, from the founder of the Herma Trismegistose to the present, because the dream of the alchemists is not foreign or today's man.
